For Lennart, as son from a multi-instrumental father who hit the charts in the ’70 with “Pittsburgh in the Rain” (#28 for 3 weeks), it was clear Lennart would pick up an instrument too.
After trying piano, which his brother plays much better and professionally for years, Lennart bought his first drumkit at age 14, when his parents were on vacation. Since then he played in several bands, and won the first Rob Acda Award in 1995, a Haarlem based talent award, with his punkrockband Offday. Offday opened Bevrijdingspop that year and was the supporting act of Van Dik Hout.
He also played drums in the metalband “Shiny Egyptian” and one-dropped the rhythms in famous cross-over ska reggae band “The Bouncers”, and is the present drummer of a punkrock style coverband, The Cocksuckers.
